Ariana’s research focuses on cranial and endocranial morphology of extinct reptiles including dinosaurs, pterosaurs, and crocodyliforms. She received a PhD in Natural Sciences in 2009 at the National University of La Plata in Argentina. Phil was a supervisor during her PhD and postdoctoral research until 2011. She then became a dinosaur palaeontologist for CONICET (Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas) at INIBIOMA (Instituto de Investigaciones en Biodiversidad y Medioambiente) in northern Patagonia, Argentina. Fieldwork expeditions have been concentrated in Argentina, but Ariana has also taken part in expeditions to Dinosaur Provincial Park, Montana, Mongolia, and even Antarctica.
