Hearty congratulations to first year MSc student Michelle Hoang for her successful application for an Enhancement and Restoration Grant from the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation! This will be Michelle’s second field season this summer where she will be heading to several remote locations in coastal BC in areas such as Kitimat and Prince Rupert, where she will be studying the coastal wolf populations in BC. Michelle and her field technician (undergraduate student Maria Kutsyh) will be deploying hair snag boards to collect hair samples from the different costal wolf sub-populations so as to study factors that affect genetic diversity in the BC coastal wolves.
We are very grateful to the Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation for supporting this project!
