Congratulations to Ian and Wyatt for getting ACA Research Grants

Congratulations to both PhD student Ian Gazely, and MSc student Wyatt Villetard for their successful applications to the ACA research grant offered by the Alberta Conservation Association. ACA grants support research that will help to inform the management of wildlife and habitats in Alberta. Ian’s research on the movement ecology of bighorn sheep is primarily focused in Sheep River Provincial Park where he collects both camera trap and GPS collar data of his marked individuals. Wyatt’s first field season this summer will take him across Northern and Central Alberta, to places like Slave Lake and Rocky Mountain House, to investigate the nesting sites of sandhill cranes.

Our sincere thanks goes to the Alberta Conservation Association for funding this research!
