Sean Chua is conducting a research project (BIOL 398) to the examine whether newly eclosed fruit flies are more susceptible to infection than fully sclerotized flies. The study system is Drosophilia nigrospiracula and a naturally occurring ectoparasitic mite, Macrocheles subbadius.
