Habitat use and movement of black bears in response to the development of a wind power plant
I am working with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department to analyze how black bear (Ursus americanus) habitat use is influenced by the construction and operation of a wind farm within critical black bear habitat. I will be using radio-telemetry data to estimate step-selection functions before, during, and after the construction of the wind power development. Analysis will include among-individual variation, as well as variation by sex and age class of bears.
