I have broad interests that investigate the interactions between animals and their environment. Specifically, my lab investigates how both natural (environmental physiology) and anthropomorphic-induced (toxicology) changes in the environment affect animal physiology.
Research philosophy and research goals
My research philosophy is to encourage students to learn and perform research in areas that they find interesting. Graduate students and PDFs studying under my research direction are encouraged to seek collaborative opportunities, discuss and debate their interests and ideas, and take ownership of their research goals. I strongly encourage students to pursue opportunities for study and travel abroad through participation in international and national conferences.
