Environmental Toxicology

My toxicology program uses a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to understanding the mechanism of toxicity of a variety of compounds in the environment. We used a combination of whole animal toxicity approaches and sublethal mechanistic studies to investigate a variety of environmental toxicants.

My toxicology program currently focuses on three main areas, nanotoxicology, toxicology of hydraulic fracturing fluids and pesticide toxicity. We work collaboratively with a variety of industrial partners to investigate their products and aid in improving both OH&S and environmental performance by minimizing hazard and risk of their products. Please see links below for specific information on the three main thrusts of my environmental toxicology program.
