Graduate Student Opportunities

I am not accepting any new graduate students for admission in 2015.  I will consider new students in autumn 2015 to start in autumn 2016. When I do look for students, assets for positions are above average grades (GPA of 3.6/4.0 or better), relevant experience on wildlife, and good quantitative skills (courses in advanced statistics, mathematical modelling, and/or GIS skills). Preference may be given to students with NSERC support or other graduate scholarship but this is not mandatory and student teaching positions are usually available for students with a strong GPA. Most of my research is based in the Canadian Arctic and any openings will likely be in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut or Yukon Territories.  Potential students are welcome to contact me with a CV, unofficial transcripts, and a statement of research interests.
