Hello! I’m Nathalie, an MSc Student in the Tierney Lab. I first joined the Tierney Lab during the final year of my BSc, where I completed a BIOL 499 research Project. Now, for my MSc research, I will investigate unexplored natural chemicals commonly detected in aquatic ecosystems to see whether they trigger olfactory responses in fish, using zebrafish as a model organism. I will also examine whether early-life exposure to these chemicals can influence olfactory behaviour and neural sensitivity later in life. Outside the lab, I enjoy reading, watching movies, going for nature walks, and spending time with family.
