Research Interests
No longer accepting students and trainees.

My primary research interest is comparative molecular immunology and my long term research goals are to: (1) Characterize cytokine regulation of macrophage hematopoiesis and antimicrobial mechanisms in mammals and fish; (2) Describe and analyze the mechanisms of cellular immune responses to obligate intracellular and extracellular protozoan parasites; and (3) Detection and inactivation of chemical contaminants, pathogens and prions in environmental samples.
