2) PRE-REQUISITES: Biol 108, Science 100
3) TEXTBOOK & READINGS:
- some reading required (will be listed on lecture outlines & web)
- only need to know terms from lectures & lab guide
- "correct" classification is that used in the textbook
- must purchase Zool250 course pack (lab guide & lecture handouts) at bookstore

- contains: lecture outlines, important reminders, sample exam questions, lab study material, animations, links
5) LECTURES:
- many drawings; 4 color pen recommended
- content on PPTs not required if not covered in lecture notes
6) LABORATORY:
- no labs during first week of classes; lab coat required, dissecting kit recommended
7) EXAMS / MARKS:
- two lecture exams: midterm (17%), final (35% cumulative)
- exam format: 50% multiple choice, 40% terms, 10% short answer (see sample lecture exam questions)
- lab quizzes (two at 5% each) and lab final (22%) (see sample lab exam questions)
- lab marked dissections (3% each; best 2 of 3)
- annotated bibliography (see lab guide for full details; 10%)
- NO deferred midterm exam (mark based on remaining exams, if approved)
