Abbey MacDonald

Hi! I’m Abbey, an MSc student in the Tierney lab currently studying the impact of methane exposure on the developmental trajectory of embryonic zebrafish. In addition to the methane exposures, I will also be working with crude oil water-accommodated fractions to assess for potential interactions. I’m particularly interested in examining behavioural changes and potential transgenerational impacts stemming from these early exposures. When I’m not in the lab, I can usually be found at the climbing gym, hiking, or spending time with family and friends. I’m excited to be a part of the Tierney lab and can’t wait to see how my research will unfold!
