J\u00f8rn is a Norwegian palaeontologist and science educator that earned a PhD from University of Oslo, Norway before joining the Currie Lab for postdoctoral work until 1999. Although he has studied tyrannosaurids and other dinosaurs, this work only makes up a fraction of the diversity of his research. His work includes examination of marine reptiles and extinct mammals, most notably an early primate nicknamed \u201cIda\u201d after his daughter. Fieldwork includes digs in Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and the United States. In addition, J\u00f8rn organizes expeditions to the Svalbard archipelago in the Arctic.<\/p>\n
