Xiaotian is a Master’s student working under the supervision of Dr. Mark Lewis and Dr. Hao Wang.
He has a BSc degree from the University of Alberta, with a major in applied mathematics.
Xiaotian is interested in ecology, especially the aqua and marine ecology system and he wants to use ODE and PDE models to study the coral reef ecosystem.
He is working on a project now, using PDE to describe the dispersal of coral and algae.
